“Kinaara”(1977) is a movie which was produced by Pranlal Mehta and directed by Gulzar. Gulzar in fact also wrote the script of this movie as well as the lyrics of its songs. “Kinaara” (1977) was one of the few movies that was well recieved by the masses as well as the media. This movie had Jeetendra, Hema Malini, Dharmendra, Shrreram Laagoo, Dina Pathak etc in this movie.
The music of this movie was superb. R D Burman, normally known for creating music that dazzled the senses, composed songs in this movie that went straight to the heart. The songs of this movie went on to become classics.
Here is a duet from this movie. it is sung by Bhupinder Singh and Lata. it is picturised on Jeetendra, Hema Malini and Dharmendra. This song is a timeless classic indeed, as was the case with most songs created by the collaboration of Gulzar and R D Burman.

One of my favourite numbers when I was young. Something so nostalgic about this song that stirs your senses.

This is one of my fav. In fact, all songs in this movie are superb. They stay with you forever. You have posted only two songs from this movie. Please post the other songs also, especially ‘meethe bol bole payaliya’
