“Taj” (1956) was a Dossi Films Production. It was produced by Fali Mistry and directed by Nandlal Jaswantlal. The movie had Vyjayantimala, Pradeep Kumar, Bipin Gupta, Jeevan, Shakuntala, Kammo, Amar, Jajo, Kathana, Qamar, Helen, Roopmala, Ulhas etc in it. This movie had a storyline that was clearly influenced by “Naagin” (1954) and even the starcast was more or less the same in this movie. Instead of “been”, this movie had “baansuri” though.

“Kahe tose sajana, ye tohri sajaniya” is an incredibly romantic yet a touching number from “Maine Pyar Kiya” (1989). Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, it was one of the biggest hits of 1989 – and of the 1980s – earning “All-time Blockbuster” status at the Box Office. It starred Salman Khan (in his first lead role after his film debut an year earlier in a side role in Biwi Ho To Aisi) and Bhagyashree (making her debut).
