Today (1 january 2014) is the birthday of several people associated with movies as well as other fields. Asrani (DOB 1 january 1941) is one of the film personalities who was born this day.
On this occasion, here is a light hearted song from “Sindoor”(1987). This song is a song on the lines of “ek chatur naar”, where Asrani and Kader Khan compete for the affections of Aruna Irani.
The song is sung by Hariharan and Kishore Kumar and they sing for Kader Khan and Asrani respectively.
Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

there was this group of Kader Khan- Asrani- Aruna Irani with Shakti Kapoor thrown in for good measure. they used to be so good at comedy or villainy as the case may be in the particular movie. and all these movies were made in either Hyderabad or Madras (current Chennai). and were such super successes that this particular movie was saved by their presence otherwise it was an high voltage emotional drama.
a small trivia— Kader Khan plays an older character here and Asrani & Aruna Irani are actually ganged up against a (buddha) KK. in real life Asrani is an year older.
