“Vachan”(1974), not to be confused with “Vachan”(1955), was directed by Suraj Prakash for the Zar Films Organization, Bombay. THe movie had Shashi Kapoor, Vimi, Prem Chopra, Jabeen Jaleel, Nazir Hussain, Sulochana, K N Singh, Tarun Bose, Kamal Kapoor, Sulochana Chatterjee, Shammi, Bhola, Paryag Raj, Jaishri T, Rajendra Nath, V Gopal, Praveen Pal, Uma Dutt, Sham Kumar, Brahm Bhardwaj etc in it.
Four songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the fifth song from the movie. This song is sung by Kishore Kumar. Kiran Kalyani is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.
The song is picturised as a “celebration” song where the “sagaai” of Vimi with Prem Chopra is being celebrated in this song and dance programme. The singer and dancer is (not surprisingly), Shashi Kapoor in disguise.
