Hullo Atuldom
Recently, last five years to be exact, November 2nd has been added to the dates for which I feel compelled to write a post. These were the posts from the last Five years
Dates | Song |
---|---|
2 November 2016 | Dil aashna hai jigar aashna hai |
2 November 2017 | Taak dhin dhin taak dhin dhin dhin |
2 November 2018 | Jaata hai tu kahaan |
2 November 2019 | Aashiq hoon main qaatil bhi hoon |
2 November 2020 | Katthai aankhon waali ek ladki |
November 2nd became an important date in the calendar for Atuldom when we discovered that a very dear Atulite has his birthday on this date. He used to be a very active member of Atuldom. But has been missing from action since the last four months- his last post on the blog was on July 19, 2021. He has contributed 1407 posts to the blog (the highest by a guest poster on ASAD), enriched 137 posts by contributing lyrics for them, plus he has added Devnagari lyrics to 1414 posts. Most importantly all his posts have lyrics in both Devnagari and the Roman script. He is a treasure house of information and has connections to collectors of music and vinyl records of music from all eras and is competent in locating rare gems when requested by followers of the blog.
Of course his journey on the blog began like all other followers (correct me if I am wrong Sudhirji) landing on Atulsongaday in search of some song, liking the premise of the blog and staying glued to it forever. He went a step further when he became Atulji’s aide and shared the task of posting songs on the blog, which actually helped on days when Atulji was busy with earthly responsibilities.
Here is wishing our very own Dilldaar Dilliwala “Many More Happy returns of the day”.
For this post I propose that we have a song from the 26th October 2001 released, Santosh Sivan directed and Gauri Khan/ Juhi Chawla produced ‘Asoka’. It had a starcast headed by Kareena Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Danny, Ajith Kumar (the southern star), Gerson Da Cunha (Adman, Stage & media personality), Umesh Mehra (the producer/ director of films like ‘Guru’, ‘Ashanthi’, ‘Mujrim’ etc.) along with Subhashini Ali, Hrishita Bhatt, Rahul Dev etc. The music was composed by Anu Malik; Gulzar and Anand Bakshi are credited as lyricists (must be the only time these two featured as lyricists in the same film). The vocals of Alka Yagnik, Abhijeet, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan, K.S. Chitra, Hema Sardesai can be heard in the songs.
Here is a melodious song from the movie which is filmed on another Dilliwala -SRK who also has his birthday today with Anu Malik the music composer also celebrating his birthday. This post which celebrates three birthdays is sung by a person whose birthday was on 30th October- Abhijeet. The female voice is of Alka Yagnik.
Wish you a very Happy Birthday Sudhirji with this song penned by Gulzar.

Chorus
Lyrics
roshni se ae bhare bhare
bhare bhare ae naina tere
chhoo ke bolen
na chhoona mujhe
chhoo ke bolen
na chhoona mujhe
aa aa aa
sapnon se ae bhare bhare
bhare bhare ae naina tere
aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa aa
dhoondha hai dhoondha hai tujhe
aakaash upar taley
shaayad kisi badri mein
lipti hui tu miley
o o o
dhoondha hai dhoondha hai tujhe
aakaash upar taley
shaayad kisi nadiya pe
chalta hua tu miley
roshni se ae bhare bhare
bhare bhare ae naina tere
chhoo ke bolen
na chhoona mujhe
chhoo ke bolen
na chhoona mujhe
aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa aa
maine samay rok ke
tera pata poochha hai
neeli nadi se keh ke
saagar taley dhoondha hai
o o o
lehron pe chalte huve
paani ke phan chhoote hain
jaise tere ye haath hon
mera ye tan chhoote hain
roshni se ae bhare bhare
bhare bhare ae naina tere
chhoo ke bolen
na chhoona mujhe

Dear Peevesie’s Mom ji
Thanks so much for this wonderful remembrance. Your messages and greetings, and this post, are heartfelt and touching. I really appreciate your gesture.
I too am mindful of my continued remoteness from the blog. As we talked today morning, i have to get back into the groove. Hopefully very soon.
Thanks once again for this thoughtful effort. 🙂
Sincerely
Sudhir
