Today we commence our journey into the year ‘1973’ in our quest for ‘missing movies’ of this year on the blog.
As this year ‘2023’ begins it set the tone for ‘fiftieth year for the year 1973’. When we complete this year ‘2023’ it will be full ‘fifty years cycle’ for the year ‘1973’.
In the future posts on the blog we will be looking into the complete list of movie released in ‘1973’ and their status on the blog. We will keep adding those missing movies of ‘1973’ on the blog whose songs are available.
Today we introduce the movie ‘Baal Mahaabhaarat-1973’.
It was directed by K. Kameshwar Rao for ‘Venus Mahija Pictures, Madras’.
‘Baal Mahaabhaarat-1973’ was a mythological movie.
It had S.V. Rangarao, Anjali Devi, Nagiya, Chandrakala, S. Varalakshami, Shiv Kumar, Master Muni, Master Prabhakar, Master Shekhar, Baby Sridevi and many more child artistes.
This movie was passed by Censor Board on 24.10.1973.

When I listened to this song today it brings back many memories of the mythological movies of yesteryears that I watched in my childhood. And since this was a song sung by Manna Dey there is a reason to present it here first.
The singing of Manna Dey and music of S.N. Tripathi bring back memories of many songs from the many mythological movie songs of those years.
