#the Decade of Eighties – 1981 – 1990 #
————————————————————————

Welcome all to this post which marks the fifth post on the blog today. When I woke up in the morning today and saw the mail notification of the first post on the blog today, I started guessing about where it was heading for ecause I had sent a couple of posts for the day as well to our editors yesterday.

When I was on my morning walk I just thought about the order in which the posts would appear. When I reached home and checked the mails it was done exactly how I had hoped it should be.

There was a post each from the decades of 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, so I just thought why not a one from 1980s to finish the today’s tally of posts. (And that will also give an ‘auspicious’ figure of ‘five’ posts in the day today). 🙂

There already was a reason for a song from the 1980s. I was longing for the few weeks to share a song from this ‘era’ to mark a ‘special occasion’ with a song from a ‘special movie’. The matter was already in the mind and all I had to do was to put it in black and white. So I noted the song which I had in mind planned. Before going for the preparation of the detailed post I thought about browsing the blog and jtally the figures once.

Here, there was a ‘twist’ in store and what I noticed was that the blog was not ready for the special occasion as of now and some tweaking was called for. So in the meanwhile, I have picked another song.

Regulars on the blog must be aware that the ‘year’ ‘1983’ was an ‘important’ year for me as I passed out my 10th standard exams that year and then there are many other things from this year including ‘movies’ and ‘nostalgia’ and overall above the ‘Prudential Cricket World Cup’ win of India.

We will directly come to the movies now. So in the year 1983 the total number of ‘Hindi’ movies released is ‘130’. Out of these ‘130’ movies ‘46’ movies have already been represented on the blog. (The detailed excel sheet is being hold for the ‘special post’ later.)

The ‘annual hits of Binaca Geetmala’ included the songs from today’s movie whereas the songs of that movie which I was supposed to present ‘had not found a place’ in that list may be because of ‘recordon ki bikri, aur shrotaa sanghon ki raay’ …

Nevertheless, I like songs of today’s movie just as well. I was longing to share this song which is being presented today, though this particular song of this movie was not there in the ‘annual hit list’. (Our dear Prakash ji had also sent couple of other songs from this movie earlier).

Here is the movie …

“Ek Jaan Hain Hum-1983” was directed by Rajeev Mehra for ‘Eagle Films’.

It had Shammi Kapoor, Rajeev Kapoor, Divya Rana, Pran, Tanuja, Kiran Vairale Rakesh Bedi, Monty, Gulshan Grover and others.

This movie has six songs written by Anjaan and music for this movie was composed by Anu Malik.

People like me who watched this movie expected Rajeev Kapoor to be the new generations Shammi Kapoor, and I think Rajeev Kapoor also tried to do that. But it did not happen somehow.

While watching the movie and listening the songs of this movie I feel that the ‘crew’ of this movie also tried to do ‘Dil Deke Dekho’ type music and songs.

I leave it to readers for their comments as well.

Today’s song is sung by Shabbir Kumar and Asha Bhonsle and on screen it is Rajeev Kapoor and Divya Rana.

Lyrics are by Anjaan and music is composed by Anu Malik.

With today’s song this movie ‘Ek Jaan Hain Hum-1983’ makes its debut on the blog today…

Enjoy 🙂

Song-Dil Chaahe aasmaan pe likh doon naam tera (Ek Jaan Hain Hum)(1983)Singers-Shabbir Kumar, Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Anjaan, MD-Anu Malik

Lyrics

dil chaahe ae
oo oo oo oo
dil chaahe ae
aasmaan pe likh doon
naam tera aa aa
is zameen pe likh doon
naam tera aa
pedon pe likh doon
naam tera aa
phoolon pe likh doon
naam tera aa
aur tere naam ke saath jod doon
kya
naam meraa aa
ho naam meraa aa
dil chaahe ae
aasmaan pe likh doon
naam tera aa aa
is zameen pe likh doon
naam tera aa

hai neelaa aasmaan
tere dil mein mera naam
o o o
kahin bhi main rahoon
mere dil mein tera naam ho o

ho o tera mera naam ye
saari duniya jaan le
tera mera naam ye
saari duniya jaan le
jaaneman
dil se dil mein kyun rahe
sun ke dil kyun naa kahe
tu hi hai meri sanam m m m
dil chaahe ae
aasmaan pe likh doon
naam tera aa aa
is zameen pe likh doon
naam tera aa

hawaa ye kya chali ee
jaane ham ko ye kya ho gaya
samaa badal gaya aa
dil naa jaane kahaan kho gaya

ho o tera saaya choom ke
badlaa mausam jhoom ke
tera saaya choom ke
hat
badlaa mausam jhoom ke
jaane jaan
are jaa
are jaa
are jaa jaa

jab tak tera saath hai
phir din hai ya raat hai
hai hosh hamko kahaan aa
dil chaahe ae
aasmaan pe likh doon
naam tera aa aa
is zameen pe likh doon
naam tera aa

miley to yoon miley
ik pal bhi naa ham door hon
jahaan ke faisle ae
kabhi hamko na manzoor hon

hai tujhpar dil qurbaan hai
tu hi meri jaan hai
hoye
tujhpar dil qurbaan hai
tu hi meri jaan hai
dirubaa aa aa aa
duniya ho ya ho khudaa
kisme hai ye hauslaa
ham ko jo kar de judaa aa aa
dil chaahe ae ae
aasmaan pe likh doon
naam tera aa aa
is zameen pe likh doon
naam tera aa
hai hai
pedon pe likh doon
naam tera aa aa
phoolon pe likh doon
naam tera aa
aur tere naam ke saath jod
doon
jod doon
naam tera aa
hai naa
naam tera aa
hai naa
naam tera aa

dil chaahe
aasmaan pe likh doon
naam tera aa aa

ho ho ho
dil chaahe ae
arey is zameen pe likh doon
naam tera aa

dil chaahe
dil chaahe
ho ho ho o
dil chaahe
dil chaahe he
