The storyline of “Phagun” (1958) was clearly inspired from “Naagin” (1954). In “Naagin”(1954), the heroine finds the music of “been” irrestible, whereas in “Phaagun”, hero’s flute has a similar effect on the heroine. I sincerely believe that parents should take care of their kids and they should not deprive them of their basic requirements. And what did a kid like me want in 1972 as his basic requirement ? I badly wanted to see “Seeta Aur Geeta” (1972). The songs of this movie had such a pied piper like effect that everyone was attracted towards the movie halls screening this movie. My elders too agreed to take me to watch this movie and I was so happy with the prospect of being able to watch the movie and to have the best moment of my life till then.

“Love In Shimla” (1960) has a song that is basically a recitation of the Urdu alphabet that goes “Alif Zabar aa alif zer ae alif pesh o” which is sort of like ” A se anaar aa se aam” of Hindi or “A for apple B for Bat…” in English. For one who has studied Urdu, writing down the lyrics of this song would be a cakewalk. I am not familiar with the Urdu alphabet and as a result, the lyrics of this song is Greek (rather Urdu) to me. I had planned to post this song in the past, but I could not do so mostly because I was unable to follow the lyrics.
