Today I present to you an extremely rare song “Tum Bhi Jhoote Hum Bhi Jhoote” from a C grade thriller “Rani Mera Naam” (1972). The song was written by Majrooh Sultanpuri and composed by R D Burman.

Today we will discuss a duet song “Khoobsurat Tu Sanam Khoobsurat Main” by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle. The song is written by Asad Bhopali and composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The song is from the 1974 flick “Jurm Aur Sazza”.

Jurm Aur Sazaa (1974) was directed and produced by Nisar Ahmad Ansari. The Writer/Story was by Dhruva Chatterjee, Dialogues by Ahsan Rizvi. The music was composed by Laxmikant–Pyarelal and the lyricists were Ram Bhardwaj, Asad Bhopali & Shakeel Badayuni.

The movie starred Vinod Mehra, Nanda, Johnny Walker, Helen and of course Nisar Ahmad Ansari.

Now let us turn to the nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar, as she sings a song “Tum Ko Agar Maine” penned by Hasrat Jaipuri and composed by Naushad Ali. The song is from the 1974 film My Friend.

“My Friend”(1974) was produced by Poonam Bhai Shah and Naushad and directed by M Rehman for Poonam Pictures Private Limited, Bombay. The movie had Rajeev(New find), Prema Narayan, Utpal Dutt, Purnima, Umraani(new find), Jagdeep, Asit Sen, Polson, Tuntun, Badri Prasad, Mona Sayeed, Hakeem, Samson, Rirkoo, Ratna, Moolchand etc in it.

Kamsune/Unsune songs of Asha Bhosle – 53

Here’s another rare song by Asha Bhosle. “It Happens Aisa Hota Hai” is from Badla released in 1974. The songs were written by Anand Bakshi and composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

‘Badlaa-1974’ was produced by R.C. Kumar for Century Films, Bombay. It was directed by Vijay, who also wrote this movie. These details are provided by Avinash Ji in his earlier post about 7 years ago. That was the iconic song from this movie – Shor Mach Gaya Shor.

It had Shatrughan Sinha, Moushumi Chatterjee, Ajit, Johny Walker, supported by Padma Khanna, Alka, Shetty, Mohan Choti, Maruti, Bhagwan, Keshav Rana, Ram Mohan, Sabina, Mohan Sherry, Kamal Deep, Mac Mohan, V. Gopal, Johny Bakshi, Desh, C.S. Dubey and Mehmood. Nirupa Roy, Arun Irani, Anwar Hussain, Paintal, Sujit Kumar, Shyama, Madan Puri, Harindranath Chattopadhyay, Iftikhar, Sudhir, Raj Mehra, Randhir, Jayshree T, Meena T, Shefali and Kajal make a guest appearance in this movie.

Here’s one more rare song sung by Asha Bhosle – “Jaam Honthon Se Laga Loon” from “Kahin Aar Kahin Paar” (1971). It is written by Jan Nisar Akhtar and composed by Ganesh.

I have already presented one more fast paced song from this movie – Dil Mein Badi Badi Baatein Hain – and also “Dil Hai Hamara Jise Chaha Dil Diya”- the second and the ninth song of this series.

Kahin Aar Kahin Paar (1971), was directed by Maruti (comic actor) for producer S. Srivastava. Music Composer was Ganesh and the songs were written by Jaan Nisar Akhtar, Asad Bhopali and S H Bihari.

The movie starred Joy Mukherjee, Vimi, Helen, Nadira, Sheikh Mukhtar, Anwar Hussain plus several others in supporting roles

The next song in the rare Asha Bhosle series is again a solo, “Door Se Karna Nazara” from Baabul Ki Galiyaan (1972). The song is composed by Ravi and written by Rajinder Krishan.

Two songs from this movie have already been posted on this blog. This is the third of five songs from the film.

“Baabul Ki Galiyaan”(1972) was directed by Satya Dev Narang for Narang Films Combines, Bombay.
