I have watched the movie “Miss Mary” and I loved the movie. In fact, I liked its songs as well. The situation under which ths song is sung is quite a romantic situation. Gemini Ganeshan and Meena Kumari are posing as a married couple for the sake of their job,and their employer,Raybahadur feels that they are not spending enough time together as befits a married couple, so locks them up in their bedroom.

It is one of the iconic songs in Bollywood history, one that I have listened to many a times since childhood. That was in 1970s, and now we are in 2008, and this song was from circa 1950s! has this song aged, or has it become less known after all these decades ? And this song is in good sprightly health too, one that is unlikely to become forgotten with passage of time. It is a timeless classic, there is no doubt about that.

So most often than not, it is songs like this Lata song that I got to hear at night. These days, I would get mesmerised if I listened to this song, but those days, such songs would put me to sleep out of boredom.
