Today 24th May is the sixty-eighth birthday of music director-lyricist Rajesh Roshan(born on 24.05.1955). He is one of my favorite all time composer.
I had earlier written about him in a couple of my earlier posts on the blog. So I am not going to repeat all that here again. One thing I definitely write again is that Rajesh Roshan’s songs are part of the ‘big nostalgia’ of my growing years and may be many people like me are fond of him and
his compositions .

Out of these four unYIPPEED movies, two movies have only one song left to be covered but that last song could not be located, so these two movies cannot be taken up under BTYC. That leaves us with juste eligible for BTYC and whose remaining songs are available.

Today’s song is from an old film Charnon ki Dasi – 1941.
This was a bilingual film, in Hindi and Marathi (as पायाची दासी ). It was made by Atre Pictures, Bombay. The producer was the owner of the banner itself – Acharya Pralhad Keshav Atre. The film was directed by Gajanan Jahagirdar, who also played an important role in the film. The Lyricist was Pt. Anand Kumar and the Music Director was Annasaheb Mainkar. The cast included Master Avinash, Vanmala, Durga khote, Gajanan Jahagirdar, Kusum deshpande, Kelkar, Prem Anand (brother of the lyricist), Ramesh and many others.
