“Shaadi”(1962) was directed by Krishnan Panju for Bahaar Films. The movie had Manoj Kumar, Dharmendra, Balraj Sahni, Saira Banu, Indrani Mukherji, Om Prakash, Sulochana, Raj Mehra, Manorama, Randhir, Leela Misra, Mohan Choti etc in it.

Two days ago, Suman ji completed the 79th milestone of her melodic life. It is so hard to believe that she is now so senior in years. Some months back, maybe almost a year, she was in Delhi and was present on stage for a singing performance. Unfortunately I myself was not able to make it. But other friends who had attended had said that she continues to be as impressive in her voice, as she was before. Still as sweet, and ‘sureeli’ as Bharat ji would put it.

“Matlabi Duniya”(1961) must be one of the more obscure movies of all time. Little information is available about this movie. It was a Chetna Production movie. It was directed by Radhakant M Thakore and the movie had Damuanna, Anant Kumar, Asha, Satish Vyas, Dhumal. I am not aware who are Asha and Damunna in the cast.

“Basant” (1942) was a Bombay Talkies production. It was directed by Amiya Chakraborty. The movie had Ulhas, Mumtaz Shanti, Mumtaz Ali,Pramila, Jagannath, Suresh, Baby Mumtaz (Madhubala), Kanu Roy, Pithawala etc in it.
