Today (2 february 2015) is the fifth death anniversary of Tahir Hussain (1938-2 february 2010). Here is a song from “Madhosh”(1974) as a tribute to him. This movie was produced by Tahir Hussain while written and directed by Desh Gautam. I tend to confuse “Girl Friend”(1960) with “Boy Friend”(1961). “Girl Friend”(1960) was a directed by Satyen Bose for Basu Chitra Mandir, Bombay and it had Kishore Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Bipin Gupta, Nazeer Hussain, Leela Mishra, Jagdev, Dhumal, Gautam, Keshto, Master Anwar, Daisy Irani etc in it. “Boy Friend” (1961) on the other hand was directed by Naresh Sahgal for N S Fils, Bombay and it had Shammi Kapoor, Madhubala, Dharmendra, Dhumal, Maruti, Shivraj, Amirbai Karnataki, Radheshyam, Suresh Kumar, Kewal Kapoor, Prithvi Mahendra , Nishi etc in it.

From the very early childhood, probably the deepest interest that I have is gathering and storing away in memory – facts, curious info, peculiar data, and a plethora of such interesting information that I would use (still use 🙂 ) to make interesting conversations and, ahem, impressing others :). In short, I have been a General Knowledge (GK) buff since I was toddler. In my class, I was known as the best and the worst – always scored the highest, mostly perfect scores, in the GK papers, and always, without fail, scored the lowest in art and painting. (The art teachers were generous; they would give me just enough not to spoil my averages.)
