This was exactly what had happened to me whenever I read the first line of the mukhda appearing as a caption of an audio clip on YT. “Patang” (1960) is a movie which was produced by Asiatic Productions and directed by Hargobind Duggal and Suraj Prakash. The movie had Rajendra Kumar, Om Prakash, Achala Sachdev, Ulhaas, Manorama, Raj Mehra, Keshav Rana, Randhir, Leela Mishra, Chaman puri, Mohan Choti, Baby Farida etc in it.

While looking at the picturisation of this song, I wondered why this song does not qualify to be called a Mujra song. As it is, Mujra songs are those songs where the clients are ordinary folks or spoilt nawaabs. If the same dance is performed in a royal court, it becomes a royal court (Rajdarbaar) dance.
