I was not sure how many songs I will be able to discuss today since I am undertaking a long 20 hours journey by train and going by my past experience, I know that internet connectivity is a problem during that time. But I am pleasantly surprised to fingd that the internet has held up for nearly an hour. It helps that the train is passing through an area which is a metropilital city and as such good connectivity is assured as long as the train remains in this area (which means for another 10 minutes). So I may as well make the most of it.

These are lines in the song “Kaun hai jo sapno main aayaa” from film “Jhuk Gayaa Aasmaan “(1968), which can be applied to many Hindi films, especially of golden era of Hindi film songs which ‘died’ in no time as soon as they were released. This was exactly what had happened to me whenever I read the first line of the mukhda appearing as a caption of an audio clip on YT. Unfortunately, I did not proceed further than a cursory glance assuming that this was the song from “Sargam” (1950).
