This obscure movie was produced and directed by B R Ishara who had the reputation of making sleazy movies meant to titillate, if movie reviewers of Hindi magazines that I read were to be believed.

He is one of the few artists who achieved a great deal in his life despite the severe handicap of being visually impaired. Imagine. 33 films in a single year. And songs recorded – one hundred and eighty. In a single year. An average of almost one song every other day, composed, finalized, recorded, published. It is definitely one thing to talk about quality of music produced – that is the purist’s argument. But think of the producers who instilled their faith in the talent and work of this one music director – that is the populist argument to consider.
