In Bollywood movies, most songs are lip synced on screen by actors. But there are some songs that are played on the background and the actors on the screen are not required to lip sync these songs. I have posted quite a few songs of this nature. All these days, I failed to realise that I should categorise these songs as background songs.

“Chaar Din” (1949) is a movie which had Suraiyya and Shyam in lead roles. This movie has music by Shyam Sundar which to me is always an indication that the movie will have some lovely songs in it.

I have posted two memorable songs from “Shart” (1954) in the past namely Na ye chaand hogaa na taare rahenge (Shart) and Dekho wo chaand chhupke kartaa hai kyaa ishaare (Shart) . This movie had another nice song in it which is not known to many people (including me) because that song is not available in the movie’s VCD. I became aware of this song only because of farmaish for this song by one of the visitors of this blog, viz. anverali valli.

“Maan” (1954) is one of those obscure movies that have been forgotten by all. Very little detail is available about this movie. This movie had Ajit, Jagirdaar,Achla Sachdev,Durga Khote, Yashodhara Katju etc in it.
