“Do Raaste” was one of the earlier hits of Rajesh Khanna. This movie, like most hits of Rajesh Khanna, had many hit songs. In fact, I am coming round to the view that many movies of those days became hits thanks to their music and the credit went to the Hero, often undeservedly. It is one of the readers of this blog, who sent his farmaish for this song, and I was like ” which is this song? I am not even aware of the name of the movie, let alone this song.”

“Kati Patang” was a movie based on a Gulshan Nanda novel of the same name. Gulshan Nanda incidentally was a very popular Hindi novelist. “Jheel ke us paar” was another of his novels that was made into another movie.
