After the huge success of this movie, other movie makers tried to ape its success formula by coming with movies with similar theme. One of these movies was called “Qawwali Ki Raat” (1964) thus leaving no ambiguity about the fact that it was inspired from “Barsaat Ki Raat” (1960).

In fact, I have covered only half the songs of this movie, as this movie has ten songs in it. Ten Sajjad Hussain compositions in one movi ! It means that the working conditions during the making of this movie met with Sajjad Hussain’s approval and he did not feel the need to walk out of this movie in a huff unlike quite a few other movies of those days. And the songs that he composed are such delightful songs.
