The movie had Nirupa Roy, Trilok Kapoor, Niranja Sharma, Umakant, Vasantrao Pehlwan,Praveen Kumar, Baby Tabassum, Murad, Master Dhulia, chanda Bai etc in it. Jerewan had made a guest guest appearance in the movie.

I joined this blog as a ‘lyrics contributor’ in September’2012 and I began by sharing lyrics of songs from the seventies to pre-eighties. These songs were the songs those were ‘nostalgic’ for me and ‘songs that brings back memories’ for me. Slowly and gradually during my daily browsing I started coming across many golden oldies that I was not aware of or the songs that I had never listened before. I was also under the impression the songs possessed by me on the cassettes were the old songs that were available because I was not aware of the total number of songs created till then. It was only after I came in contact with this blog that I became aware of the number of songs created. That put things in perspective for me and I realised where my collection of 400-500 cassettes stood vis a vis that total number of HFM songs.

Today’s song is a very melodious duet from the film Actor-1951.
The film was directed by Ramjibhai Arya. I could not get any information about him except that he directed 6 Hindi films namely, Hind ke lal-40, Manthan-41, Jungle ki pukar-46, Bhedi Dushman-46, Sher E Bengal-47 and his last film as a director, Actor-1951. The musical score for this film was by 2 MDs – Aziz Hindi aka Aziz Khan and Ibrahim aka Master Ibrahim. There are many films having 2 MDs or even 3 MDs and also an unique case like the film Pathan-1962 which had a record 9 MDs ! (This film has nothing to do with Shahrukh khan’s controversial film Pathan released recently). In almost all cases songs are separately credited to each MD, as it is a Team work. In rare cases we find that a few songs are composed jointly by both MDs and credited accordingly.

What is so special, one may ask. We already have 173 such occasions in the blog.
Indeed we had 173 such occasions and this is the 174th century for the blog.
Still, I find this century somewhat different vis a vis other centuries in general, and with other recent centuries in particular.
