During my early teen days, I was watching movies at the rate of 8 – 10 movies per week. It did not matter whether it was a new movie or an old movie or a repeat. I somehow had to be in a cinema hall between 11.30 AM and 2.30 PM. Sounds very adventurous, right? Yes it was, believe you me, but that was the craze of the movies, both Hindi and English.

In keeping with the festive season and party atmosphere, here is a party song. This is a duet song of Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhonsle, from the film ‘Andaz’ (1971). The lyricist is Hasrat Jaipuri and composers are Shankar-Jaikishan.
The picturization is a Christmas, New year, masquerade, holloween all rolled into one party. If there was a cake visible, it would have been a birthday. In the movie I think it was Christmas party. David is the host and Shammi Kapoor and Hema Malini are singing this song.

Looking at the title of the song, most people are justified if they exclaim-“What ! This song was not yet covered !!”. My excuse is the same old one. All these days I was under the impression that this song was already covered long back.

In between the many other events and anniversaries that we keep track of, there are some other significant developments that continue to inch along quite unobtrusively. And the corresponding milestones continue to pass at their own pace. Some of the blog regulars keep a watch and do send messages and comments.
