Today’s song is from the film Patit Paawan-1953.
The meaning of Patit Paawan is “one who is purified after having fallen down with sin”. This was used as a Title for Lord Shri Ram because with the touch of his feet, Ahilya-Gautam Rishi’s wife, who had turned into a stone, came to life and human form. However, today’s film is not on the story of Ahilya uddhar. The story is different but the moral of the story is same.

‘Pyaara Dushman’(1955) was ‘Bhagwan Art Productions’, Bombay presentation and it was Produced and Directed by Bhagwan.
‘Pyaara Dushman-1955’ had Nadira, Jairaj, Sulochana, Bhagwan, Baburao, Leela Gupte, Vasantrao Pahalwaan, Kumkum, Dar Kashmiri, Ramlal, Deepak, Balaram, Swami, Parshuram, Datu, Bihari Singh, Govind, Sando, Kardar and others.

“Teerandaaz”(1955) was directed by H S Rawail. The movie had Ajit, Madhubala, Jairaj, Kuldip Kaur, Yashodhara Katju, Chanchal, Chandrashekhar, Helen, Gope etc in it.
The movie had six songs in it. All songs were female solo sungs sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Five songs have been covered in the past. Here are the details:-

In order words, she played a female zorro !

Today 12th January’2023 is the one hundred and fifth birth anniversary of one of the greatest music directors of Hindi Cinema C. Ramchandra.
He was born on 12th January’1918 and passed away on 5th January’1982.
On this occasion as a tribute to him I am presenting a song from the ‘1955’ movie ‘Luteraa’.
