Recently, I came across a rare song ‘saajan tumse pyaar karoon main’ from the film BADNAAM (1952) sung by Lata Mangeshkar. It was written by Hasrat Jaipuri and set to music by Basant Prakash. As a result, during his 30years of active filmy career, he was the music director in about a dozen films only, some of which were joint ventures with other music directors.
