Meri beri ke ber mat todo

This is a song that is today known to the present generation thanks to a remix song. When I saw/ heard this remix song, then the first think that came to my mind was- why they cannot make their own original music. And in case they have to use old songs, why they should not acknowledge this fact somewhere. Plagiarism is plagiarism, and it is blatant plagiarism because the golden era songs, which are being used as source material for these remixes are still fresh in the mind of music lovers.

During 1970s, Amitabh Bachchan had taken over the crown of the number one male actor of the decade. The one actor, who looked like a challenger was Vinod Khanna, but Vinod Khanna’s mind was not into his career. I knew nothing about this movie and about this song. It is just that my dear internet friend Raja knew about this song. He in fact is so impressed with this song that he has posted this song in his blog and even provided a translation of the song. He had requested me to post this song here. I told him that I was going to shamelessly copy his translation, and he readily permitted me to plagiarise. 🙂

Where was this song lying all these days ? I thought I knew all about Madan Mohan songs, considering that I have posted over 100 of his songs and I have heard nearly 300 of his songs (out of 700). But I was humbled to realise that I am still unaware about many of his gems.
