In Bollywood movies, hero woos the lady by singing a song, where he may make tall promises (I will love you for hundred births, I will turn the world topsy turvy for your sake etc). “Samjhauta”(1973) was a movie that went unnoticed. Many people may not even have heard of this movie or its songs. Personally I heard its title song viz “samjhauta ghamon se kar lo”, but I have not been able to locate its video.

Feroz Khan’s “Dharmatma” was one movie which had a story line based on Afghani background.
This movie was lapped up by its target audience and I am told that this movie became very popular in Afghanistan.

The hero Joy Mukherjee is leaving his home for ever, and certainly there has got to be some major reason behind this drastic step. His wife appears suitably chastened, repentent, etc, but that is too little too late,the decision has been taken and there is no going back.

O mere Raja khafa na hona

After watching every song of “Johny Mera Naam”, I have described that song as the best song in the movie, only to say the same thing about the next song from the movie. I have already posted a few songs from this movie ( two to be precise) and just about every song is so wonderful to listen to and watch. A fresh as lily Hema and a dashing Dev Saab made quite an impression in this movie, especially in the songs.
