‘Ishq Ishq Ishq-1974’ was directed by Dev Anand for his home productions ‘Navketan International Films Pvt Ltd, Bombay’. It was a ‘social movie’ passed by the Censor Board on 08.11.1974. I was more than six years old when this movie was released. However, I have no recollections of watching this movie at that time. I did not get to watch this movie even later. This movie is available online and I may watch it there in future. However, our dear Satyajit jee has watched this movie and he has given the story of this movie as follows:-

This movie had Dev Anand, Zeenat Aman, Prem Nath, Kabir Bedi, Nadira, Poonam(Sinha), Komilla Virk, Gautam Sarin,Ifekhar,Kuljit, Trilok Kapoor, Jeevan, A.K.Hangal, Ranjan,Maruti,Jankidas, Madhup Sharma, Sheila Jones, Sheila Ray, Rashmi Gupta, Nargis Karim, Nayan Amin, Neela Senapati, Faheeman Hathiwala, Jackie Ferns, Farah Ali, Maya Sasoon, Nasreen Motiwala, Valerie Hodgway, Shabana Azmi etc in it. The movie introduced Shekhar Kapur, Zarina Wahab, Satyajeet, Bunty,Dhanna, Ratan Gaurang, Birbal, Uttam raj, Bihari,Kishan Bahadur,Guddy. Sudhir and Nana Palsikar made guest appearances in the movie.

Hullo to all in atuldom
Its been a while since I wrote a post for the blog. No that is not so. I have made notes in my mind by the dozen in the last couple of months and typed out two of them sent it across to the Head of the Posting Department of our blog. Unfortunately they didn’t get posted as the Head of the department was awaiting a special post by his trusted Lieutenant for what is now being termed as “artificial” milestones (as Atulji likes to call them) but a special is a special and other things can wait for them is my opinion. I hope I can hear or rather see nods in agreement of my point of view.

Dev Anand’s dedication and commitment to the medium and the industry is well visible to all. Past the seventies when the box office appeal had shifted to the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Shashi Kapoor, Jeetendra, Sanjeev Kumar, and Vinod Khanna etc., he continued to be at the helm of film making, and continued to produce and direct films with an uncanny regularity, all the way till his departure from this world. Majority of his later films did not attract much critical or commercial attention, but nonetheless, that did not deter him from his work and his passion.
