Remembering Mehmood, on his birth anniversary (29th september).

The name brings on the image of a dhoti clad south Indian Brahmin music teacher with a clean shaven head, and a long choti. The year is 1968. Comedy actor, producer and director Mehmood, released his film Padosan. With Kishore Kumar, Sunil Dutt, Keshto Mukherjee etc., the film has gone on to be the most enduring and memorable comedy films in Hindi cinema.
