“Akeli Mat Jaiyyo” (1963) was one of those movies that failed at the box office despite boasting of names like Rajendra “Jubilee” Kumar and Meena Kumari. Madan Mohan yet again had the mortification of watching his music go down the drain because his songs from this movie failed to take off as a result of the failure of this movie.

There are a few people who say that “Shabaab” (1954) was one where Naushad gave his best music. I hope the people who hold this opinion are aware that Naushad was the music director of movies like “Baiju Baawra”, Mughal e Azam” etc as well. There are others who feel that “Baiju Baawra” could be the best creation of Naushad.

When separated relatives “inadvertently” meet again in Bollywood movies, background music goes on an overdrive. And the body language of the separated relatives show that they are trying to recognise each other, but without success. In some cases, a background song also gets played on this matter.

“Dharti” (1970) was one of the last movies in which both Rajendra Kumar and Waheeda Rehman were seen in lead roles. By this time both had begun to show their ages and were soon upstaged by younger and fresher faces.
