“Sadma” (1983) was produced by Raj N. Sippy & Romu N. Sippy, directed by Balu Mahendra and had lyrics & dialogues by Gulzar. Ilaiyaraaja was the music director who used Suresh Wadkar, Yesudas, Asha Bhonsle, Sridevi and Kamal Haasan as playback singers. The following songs of the movie are present on the blog.

“Sadma” had a cast of Sridevi, Silk Smitha, Leela Mishra, Ashalata Wabgaonkar, Dr. Shreeram Lagoo, Arvind Deshpande, Paintal, Gulshan Grover, Somayajulu and Kamal Haasan. The film was a remake of the Tamil film “Moondram Pirai” (1982) which also had Kamal and Sridevi.
A small trivia about this movie is that (future maestro) A R Rehman had worked as a keyboard player for this film.

Today’s(3 september 2017) post is inspired by this post of Atulji. To be more exact I have been saving up this post ever since this was posted and this was mentioned in the comments by Bharatji and Maheshji.
