This song is a great discovery, I must say. This song is filmed on Danny, then an esoteric looking item of curiosity for Bollywood movie watchers. He looked every bit a chinky that his Sikkimese origin warranted, and moreover, he had yet to become accepted as an actor for mainstream roles. With time, his looks became accepted as mainstream, and he in fact started playing roles like Thakur saab, Heroine’s baap etc.
Another item of great curiosity in his earlier movies was that he got a few songs to sing as well, which was rare for villains. The first song that he got to sing was a duet in “Ye Gulistaan hamaara”, but that song is not available anywhere it seems. His second song was in “Kaala Sona”. Listen to the song, The voice sounds so much like Shailendra Singh, but it is actually Danny singing for himself.
In case that was not curiosity enough, look at the girl. It is Fareeda Jalal. Yes, it is the same lady who plays Grandmom in TV serials these days. In this song she wooes Danny hard . Girl seducing the boy, and the boy trying to save his “izzat” from the lecherous looks of the the girl pleading with her to leave him alone- it all makes for one hell of an amusing song.

Wow what a find. As mentioned earlier by someone, I remember this song from Doordarshan days. You are right, Danny sure would have given the other singers a run for his money if he had taken it more seriously :). Thanks for posting this number and for all the trivia. You are awesome!!

oh such a sweet song! their used to be a song show of some kind, by Asha Bhonsle on Door Darshan when we were small, on which this song was shown!I l really love the lively sweetness of it!
