Kaamdev jaisi teri sooratiya

I may regard myself as a bollywood music buff, espdecially of songs circa 1970 or so. But there are still songs from that era which I never heard when they were first released.
Take this song for example. This is a song of 1970 from a movie called “Tum Haseen Main Jawaan”. I have heard the name of this movie and I have heard a few songs from this movie, but I have never heard this song. That is, I never heard this song before I got the farmaish of this song for inclusion to this blog. And guess what ? I liked this song the very first time I listened to it. It is just that I listened to this 1970 song for the first time in 2008. It has to be a classic case of tubelight like reaction time on my part.
And I notice that this song is picturised on Hema Malini and Dharmendra. And it must be one of the first movies in which the two were paired together. And I am surprised to note that Hema Malini is singing this song even though Dharmendra is not tied up. Somehow I cannot think of Hema Malini singing and dancing unless Dharmendra is tied up or else he looks like he is very unhappy about it.
In this song he does not mind Hema Malini singing and dancing. The main reason could be that this song is addressed to him, rather than to others, and he is being compared with Kaamdev ( Cupid) in this song. This is indeed a special song in Bollywood where we see a female wooing the male by praising his looks. And Dharmendra looks suitably embarrassed, almost like a girl. Cute, very cute !

hearing this song after years.
there is some other song with a similar tune.. i am trying to recollect.. but drawing blank.
by the way this song is supposed to be at their engagement party (in the movie)

does this song sound similar to “Mere paas aao nazar toh milao” from Dilip Kumar- Vyjayanthimala starrer “Sunghursh”
