Considering that a large number of Bollywood songs are on the subject of love, it comes as some surprise to note that the subject of this love, be it a boy or a girl, is not named by his/her proper name, rather he /she is addressed by common nouns viz Saajan/ Sajni, mehboob/ Mehbooba, Aashiq etc.
So it comes as a refreshing change when a girl is addressesd by her name in a song. It is another matter that many such songs are used to tease the subject.
I have posted the song “Rekha O Rekha” in the past. Here is a song that goes “Leena O Laana”. This song is from “Swarg narak” (1978). It is a party song sung by Kishore Kumar and picturised on Vinod Mehra, Prema Narayan, Shabana Azmi etc.
Anand Bakshi is the lyricist and Rajesh Roshan is the music director of this song.

I really like this song but as my Hindi s poor i need the translation in English. So can someone give me the english translation here i mean the lyrics translation…

In those days before the main film starts, there used to ‘News-Reel’ on the screen, and that too in black & white.
I had started playing cricket then, and when we go to watch this movie, the news reel began. The West Indies team under Kaalicharan was on the tour and may be the series was under progress.
So in the news-reel , here comes Kapil Dev and bowl to Basil Williams and he clean bowled him… I loudly shouted in the theatre O..U.. T !!

I remember Raja ji requesting for this song in the comments of another song on the blog (Maybe Rekha O Rekha?).. so I finally listen to this song :).
