“Mujhe Jeene Do” (1963) is a movie with a moving message. It was about the lives of bandits. What lies in store for the bandits who want to get reformed and join the mainstream of society, with same hopes and aspirations for their kids like normal people ? This movie is a moving picturisation on this issue.
I have discussed a few songs from this movie in the past. Here is another song. This song is sung by Lata and it is picturised as a mujra song on Waheeda Rehman, with Sunil Dutt also present in the picturisation.
Sahir Ludhianvi is the lyricist and music is composed by Jaidev. What a wonderful song it is !

Very nice and quite popular if I recall correctly. The ending is so strange. I’ll add it to my Sunil Dutt playlist although it is Waheeda who is magical here.

One thing about this song ,that it is based on DHANI Raag….
In history of Bollywood music only 3-4 songs are based on this raag…
So, also for this reason this song is special…
