Today (7 march 2013) is the first death anniversary of Ravi (3 march 1926- 7 march 2012). On this occsion, here is a song from “Khaamosh Nigaahen” (1989) which was the last Hindi movie of Ravi as a music director. This movie was a home production of Ravi. It was produced and directed by Ajay Sharma, (Ravi’s son) under the banner of Ajay Films. The movie had Rakesh Roshan, Deepti Naval, Swaroop Sampat, Agha, Shashikala, Urmila Bhatt, Shubha Khote, Iftekar, Dalip Tahil, Manmohan Krishna etc in it.
One song from this movie has been discussed in the past. Here is the second song from this movie. It is sung by Lata. Ravi is the lyricist as well as the music director of this song.
Only the audio of this song is available, but Prakashchandra, who sent me the lyrics of this song, vaguely remembers watching this song picturised on Deepti Naval.

Sahara T.V.Channel once upon a time, had shown this movie in their afternoon slot, But jab mujhe pataa chalaa gayaa, toh movie khatm hone ko aayee thi, Par iss gaane ki ek jhalak ko maine dekhaa thaa.

You have given full justice to Ravi ji, by sending this song to Atulji and Atulji has supported you by posting this song on the perfect occasion for all music lovers. Agar aapne ye maahiti naa di hoti, to pata hi nahin chalta ki How much politic is played by people who start their business with recording and selling CDs of prayer and bhajans (I am talking about the T series) I am not too much aware of the history of T series, but have heard similar stories like you have said. Was he the Gulshan Kumar, who was the pioneer of making and selling audio cassettes at a very low rates, so middle class families can afford it?

Yes Gulshan Kumar showed a new horizon to audio cassette industry, but Gulshan Kumar aur Lata(yaa Lata aur Asha ji ke beech ke jhagde mein) bahut hi achche tunes dab gaye the uss zamaane mein.
Aur sunannewaalon kaa ye loss thaa aur music directoron ke bud-kismati.
I think ,Gulshan Kumar ke paas Lata ji ke tarhaa hi gunn toh bahut the, aur Lata ji ke tarhaa hi avgunn bhi bahut the.

But bechaare Producers, directors aur music directors aur sabhi gaane se jude log toh ghaate mein reh gaye naa(->Iss Lata-Gulshan-Anuradha trio conspiracy mein) Aur hum-shrotha-Listener toh iss jaisee gaanon ko dhoondhte paagal ho jaayenge. Aisse bahut se gaan e T.Series waalon ke saath pade hain, mere paas unn gaanon kaa list hai 🙂

At the out set I appreciate and thank for posting such a sweet song. While I was browsing through internet I found that Deepti Nawal was the star cast in the movie. On her blog (URL http://www.deeptinaval.com/actor-filmografy.htm) i noticed that this movie was released in 1983 . This may not be so significant for most of the members , but I wished to apprise this for the sake of correctness.
While placing an unconditional apology for this comment, I must palce one more thing before Atul ji that I am proud to be a subscriber to this blog, and I have been benefited immensely through the daily posts I receive, and enjoyed many very rare songs.
Hearty thanks to you so much for this service to film music-fans.

This Ravi gem has been Dumped,sabotaged and killed by Gulshan Kumar & Anuradha Paudhwal team(of Super Cassettes/T.Series). Lata Ke saath Dushmani nibhaane ke liye unn donon ne Ravi jee ke iss anmol gaane ko publicity nahin deke aisse hi maar dee. Oopar se film buri tarah se pitt gayee aur gaane ko dhoondhne par bhi , kahin mil nahin rahaa thaa, par kissi Bhale maanush ne iss gaane ko Youtube dwaaraa upload kiyaa hai,uss aadmi ko Meraa Thanks aur

Somewhere in the gossip magazines I had read that Ravi ji ne apne bete se khaffa ho gaye the(shaayad unnke bete ne Film actress Varsha Usganokar ke saath byaah rachaayi thi)
