“Manzil” (1979) was directed by Basu Chatterji for Ambika Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Amitabh Bachchan, Mausami Chatterji, Rakesh Pandey, Satyen Kappu, A K Hangal, Urmila Bhatt, C S Dubey, Pravin Paul, Sundar, Anwar Ali, Sushant Bhatnagar, Lalita Pawar, Shriram Laagoo (Special appearance) etc in it.
Three songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
Here is the fourth and final song from “Manzil” (1979). This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and it is picturised as an “expression of love” genre of song on Mausami Chatterji, with Urmila Bhatt, Satyen Kappu and Amitabh Bachchan also visible in the picturisation.
The song reminds one of a couple of older songs, viz. Rangeela re(Prem Pujari)(1970) and Man gaaye wo taraana(Chaalaak)(1973).
Yogesh is the lyricist. Music is composed by R D Burman.
