Blog 10-Year Challenge (2013-2023) – Song No. 22

On this date ten years back viz on 6 February 2013, seven songs from sevendifferent movies were covered in the blog. Here are the details:-

We observe that four movies (out of seven) whose songs were covered in the blog on this date ten years ago (on 6 February 2013) have since been YIPPEED. We also observe that as many as five songs had the voice of Lata Mangeshkar in them.
Five Lata Mangeshkar songs have been covered in the blog today ten years later as well. Only one of them iscovered under Blog Ten Year Challenge.
“Sanyasi”(1975) is another movie which qualifies for BTYC challenge today.
“Sanyasi”(1975) was produced and directed by Sohanlal Kanwar for Filmnagar, Bombay. The movie had Manoj Kumar, PremNath, Prem Chopra, Hema Malini, Brahma Bhardwaj, Aruna Irani, Sulochana Latkar, Pran, Kamini Kaushal, Indrani Mukherjee, Chandrashekhar, Shailesh Kumar, Raj Mehra, Helen, Aparna Chowdhary, Jayashree T, Hari Shivdasani, Brahm Bhardwaj, Murad, V.Gopal, Rajpal, Kuljeet, Kamaldeep, Keshav Rana, Yunus Parvez, C.S.Dubey, Narbada Shankar, Tiger, Shera, Romeo,
G.A.Sheikh, Dinesh Hingoo, Bihari, Darshan Arora, Sabina, Sheila, Madhup Sharma, Krishna Kumar, Kumari Naaz, Nazima, Monty Nath, Surendra Rahi, Gurcharan Pohli etc in it.
“Sanyaasi”(1975) had nine songs in it. Seven songs have already been covered in the blog.
Here is the eighth song from the movie to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.
The song is picturised as a mujra dance song on Aruna Irani, with Premnath playing her accomplice who also gets to utter a few lines. Raj Mehra and Prem Chopra are also seen in the picturisation.
