It seemed just like yesterday that we hit the 5000 mark (it was on 13th November), and lo, we are already 200 songs even beyond that magic number today. Congratulations to all, and especially to Atul ji, for being the consistent driving force behind this effort. It has been mentioned by several readers that Dev Anand appeared almost immortal to them and it was inconceivable to them that he could ever die. But time and tide waits for none and everyone has to succumb some day. Dev Anand breathed his last on 3rd of december 2011 at the age of 88. He led an active life till the end. His zest for life and his youthful exuberance is something that is difficult to emulate for most people. With time , he had lost weight and had shrunk as was bound to happen, but his mental faculties continues to be sharp and he could still walk on his feet. Most people can only dream of such physical fitness if they ever live up to that age.
