“Chhoomantar” (1956) was a Sadiq Production movie. It was produced and directed by M Sadiq. The movie had Shyama, Karan Dewan, Jagirdar, S. Banerjee, Raj Mehra, Amar, Anita Guha, Johnny Walker etc in it.

Today (4 january 2014) is the 21st death anniversary of R D Burman (27 june 1939- 4 january 1994). He was only 53 years of age at that time, and it was unimaginable to realise that he was without work for several years during the last years of his life- and that too in an industry where he redifined the kind of music that would become the norm and an industry where he ruled the roost for well over a decade !
