Hullo to all in atuldom
Its been a while since I wrote a post for the blog. No that is not so. I have made notes in my mind by the dozen in the last couple of months and typed out two of them sent it across to the Head of the Posting Department of our blog. Unfortunately they didn’t get posted as the Head of the department was awaiting a special post by his trusted Lieutenant for what is now being termed as “artificial” milestones (as Atulji likes to call them) but a special is a special and other things can wait for them is my opinion. I hope I can hear or rather see nods in agreement of my point of view.

“Mahal”(1969) was a Roopkala Pictures production. It was produced by Mahipat Ray Shah and directed by Shankar Mukherji. 2011 was the year when Dharam Devdutt Pishorimal Anand bid Adieu to this world. God it is four years since then. Seems like yesterday when I saw the news in the early hours of that Saturday and I had passed on the news to my Daddy dearest. He was 88 when he passed away. And by then he had acted in over 110 films and produced approximately 30 films. That is such a large number.

Dev Saab – the phenomena continues. With coming newer generation, it may fade away. But there is still many more generations to go before that can happen.
Remembering Dev Saab on the anniversary of his birth today – 26th September. He would have been 92 years young today. And I am sure, he is, wherever he maybe now.

This is a song from film Madhubala-1950.
Will you be not happy if you get the Cake and eat it too ? Same thing happened whenever Handsome Dev Anand and the most beautiful actress of Hindi films, Madhubala acted together in a film. The audience used to become ecstatic with joy watching their films. No one cared if the story was weak or the music was third grade. What was more important was to see Dev and Madhubala, with a contented heart !
