‘Maa Baap’ (1960) was produced by Trikambhai Dave under the banner of Ratnadeep Pictures and was directed by V M Vyas. The star cast included Rajendra Kumar and Kamini Kadam in lead roles supported by Pran, Anwar Hussain, Bipin Gupta, Leela Chitnis, M Kumar, Leela Mishra, Kuldeep Kaur, Baby Naaz, Kammo, Keshav Rana, Sunder etc. The film belonged to the genre of family drama. This was the third successive film of Rajendra Kumar pairing with Kamini Kadam who had made her debut in ‘Talaaq’ (1958) in a lead role with Rajendra Kumar. Her next film with Rajendra Kumar was Santaan’ (1959).

“Chor police” (1983) was the directorial debut of Amjad Khan and produced by his wife Shehla Khan and Vinay Kumar Sinha (who was Amjad Khan’s secretary too). It was presented by Cinema International. It had R D Burman’s music and songs were written by Nida Fazli & Vithalbhai Patel (as per the movie’s titles). Suresh Wadkar, Asha Bhonsle, Manna Dey, Lata Mangeshkar, Vinod Sehgal and Vanita Mishra were the playback singers used.

On checking, I found that barring one song, all Hindi songs in the list were already covered under this series. ‘Anokha Rishta’ (1986) was produced under the banner of Century Films and was directed by I V Sasi. The film starred Rajesh Khanna in a pivotal role with Sabeeha, Smita Patil (special appearance), Karan Shah, Tanuja, Satish Shah, Beena, Shafi Inamdar, Sukumari, Shaloo etc. The film was a remake of Malayalam film ‘Kanamarayathu’ (1984) which was also directed by I V Sasi. The film’s story was written by Padmarajan which was adapted from a novel, ‘Daddy-Long-Legs’ (1912) written by American writer, Jean Webster. This was the debut film of Sabeeha, daughter of actor, Ameeta and actor-director, Kamran.
