If the title of a movie begins with the adjective “Chhoti” and it is followed by a common noun depicting a female person then you can expect a movie full of sacrifices and sad songs. Few people today remember this movie called “Aman” (1967). It must have been a huge flop for this movie to end up like this considering that the movie had big names in it. What a delightful song it is ! In this song, two ladies are singing about their beloved. I hope they are not singing about the same person, though knowing Hindi movies, a situation like this is not uncommon in Hindi movies.

I have noticed that Hindi movies rarely show actors keeping pets like say cats and dogs. When I was growing up in 1960s and 1970s, most Indian families regarded keeping pets a luxury that average families could ill afford. Then there were people who were superstitious and they thought that a cat especially black one crossing their path was inauspicious. Only villains would keep pets in Hindi movies.
