“Bade Bhaiyya” (1951) was a B grade movie starring Suresh and Nirupa Roy. this movie , which was directed by Aspi Iraani had a musical team that is quite obscure.

There may be more Hindi movies called “Laila Majnu” than one can count, but the two main movies of this title that I can readily recall are the ones that came in 1953 and 1976. The 1953 movie had Nutan and Shammi Kapoor playing the legendary lovers while the same roles wre enacted by Ranjeeta and Shammi Kapoor’s nephew Rishi Kapoor , respectively.

The title of the movie “Bikhhre Moti” (1951) gives enough statutory warning that this movie is a melancholic movie with melancholic songs. Indeed, this movie which had Jayant, Jeevan, Kamini Kaushal, Neelam, Nigar Sultana, Ranjana etc in it have just that kind of songs in it.

“Bikhhre Moti” (1951) is a movie I have little idea about. But I have gathered that this movie had actors like Jeevan, Neelam, Kamini Kaushal, Nigar, Jayant, Ranjana, Sherry etc in it. From the movie title, the movie appears to be a tear jerker movie.

In Hindi movies, there used to be a case where a character would decide to leave his/her family/neighbours/friends for ever, not knowing where he/she would go. I call such songs as “chal ud ja re panchhi” song, in honour of the iconic song from “Bhaabhi” (1957) that depicted this scenario.
