When I went through the first few lines of this song (sent by nahm), I wondered what song this could be. It did not seem to ring any bells. But when i listened to the song, I immediately recognised it. I had listened to this song so many times in my younger days, but all those days I never became aware of the details of the song.

When one listens to this song without being aware of the details, what does one guess about this song ? It is sung by Rafi and it is picturised on Dev Anand. This song is remininscent of several other Rafi- dev Anand songs and one may guess that this song is composed by S D Burman. But surprise, surprise ! This song is not composed by S D Burman. As a result, the songs of this movie suffered. So much so that few people are aware of these songs. It is a pity because these songs are so nice to listen to, and they would have done well had the movie done better.

In one such write up, readers came up with the list of a few other songs where some item was being sold.

When a normal human being misses his/her beloved, you expect them to bear it privately. But a Hindi movie hero/heroine missing his/her beloved decides to make a public spectacle of themselves. They quickly burst into a missing you song whose lyrics could be something like “Main yahaan hoon tu hai kahaan” or “Ab to aa jaa” etc. They go all over the town singing the song. One can expect them to be doing that in India, but imagine doing them in the streets of Venice, Italy and the local population not even batting their eyelids !
