Mukesh and His Composers – 32
We continue the series with composer Vishnu Khanna. He seems to have composed music for only two films. Both these films have been introduced on the blog with one song each as follows.
- “Poorab Chaloge Chaloongi, Paschim Chaloge Chaloongi“ – Patni (1970), a solo by Suman Kalayanpur which has been covered by Sudhir ji
- “Kaisi Shaam Suhaani Aayi Re“ – Pasand Apni Apni (1972), a solo by Rafi saab covered by Satyajit Rajurkar ji
The composer continues to remain obscure. No information seems to be available on him other than what is already known.

The movie had Feroz Khan, Mumtaz, Helen, Prem chopra, Tun Tun, Shyam Kumar, Fariyal, Kuljeet, Siddhu,Mukri,Bramha Bhardwaj,M.B.Shetty,Polson, Ranveer Raj,Pahlwan, Bhooshan Tiwari,Iftikhar,Madan Puri, Jagdish Raj,Randhir,Kishan Mehta,Hercules, Habib, Khurshid Khan,Paul Sharma,Prem Raj,Fazal Khan,Babu Pahlwan,Safi,Prabhakar,Mohd.Ali, Hercules,Sujata, Helen etc in it. I had heard the name of Ved Rahi for the first time in one of the Doordarshan’s television serials. It took me some more years to know that his canvas was much bigger than the TV serials. He is a well-known poet and writer in Dogri, Hindi and Urdu, a journalist, editor, translator, screenplay, dialogue writer, producer and director in Hindi films and television serials. He is the recipient of many awards and honours for his contributions to the literature in Dogri, Hindi and Urdu.

Mukesh,
• A name that will remain etched in active memory of HFM lovers.
• A voice that will continue to enthrall the inner souls.
• A legend whose immortality will last for several generations to come.
Remembering a noble soul who passed away on this day 27 August 1976, in Detroit city of America. And, even though he departed nearly half a century ago, this year has been unique as his birth centenary was celebrated on 22 July.

We all have heard of World Happiness Index. We have heard about it because this index gives India a very low rating. People in India who believe in this rating ironically do not believe in ratings that show India in good light.
