I keep mentioning that Rafi was capable of singing with unbelievable amount of energy. I have often mentioned songs where I thought that the energy level in the singing was just mind boggling.

Though I have not watched the movie”Taqdeer” (1967) , I have a fair bit of idea about its story line mainly thanks to its songs. I have posted the superb song Jab jab bahaar aayi aur phool muskuraaye from this movie and readers’ comments on this post has given me a good idea about the story. Then song is bound to move the watchers.

In old Bollywood movies, actors were often seen singing while playing a grand piano. Songs like that to me were unrealistic, because firstly, it is not possible to play that huge instument while singing a song at the same time. And secondly, expecting the lead actors to possess a huge grand piano, as well as a huge mansion to accomodate the said piano was unrealistic to my mind.

I was not aware about this movie called “Poonam” (1952). Once I became aware of this movie and I began to search for songs of this movie, I found that almost all these movies were sung by Lata and they were picturised on Kamini Kaushal as dance songs.

“Mere Jeewan Saathi” (1972) is full of great songs that were big rage during its heydays. The popularity of songs of this movie was just incredible.
