Of late, I have started catching up on movies of the 1970s. I may or may not have seen the movie earlier but even if I have seen it earlier, I have no proper recollection of the story.

Here is a “roadside tamasha” song from “Biraadari” (1966). In this song Shashi Kapoor and Memmood, donning striped lungis 😀 give a vigorous and boisterous dance performance. Such dances are right up the alley of Mehmood, but even Shashi Kapoor gamely hangs on and manages to keep pace with Mehmood.

It is practically impossible to talk of actors or hit films of Bollywood of the early 70s and not speak of Rajesh Khanna in the same breath. He was synonymous with Bollywood hit movies at that time and though other heroes did manage a few hits between them, he was THE towering figure amongst them all at that time.

I have heard this song from my early years, but at that time I was not aware about the details of this song. Moreover, as a pre teen kid, I was not into such kind of songs and so I did not appreciate this song at that time.
