I was not sure how many songs I will be able to discuss today since I am undertaking a long 20 hours journey by train and going by my past experience, I know that internet connectivity is a problem during that time. But I am pleasantly surprised to fingd that the internet has held up for nearly an hour. It helps that the train is passing through an area which is a metropilital city and as such good connectivity is assured as long as the train remains in this area (which means for another 10 minutes). So I may as well make the most of it.
Here is this song from “Khandaan” (1979) which is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Bindiya Goswami and Jeetendra, with Sulakshana Pandit and Rakesh roshan also visible in the picturisation.
Naqsh Llayalpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Khayyam.
The lyrics of this song as well as other details were sent to me by Prakashchandra. He also informed me that the audio version has one exrtra stanza which is missing in the video version. So here are both the versions of this song for the viewing and listening pleasures of the readers.
I feel that I will be able to find some more time to discuss a few more songs today seeing that I have to remain in the train for another ten hours or so. So connectivity permitting, I may be able to discuss a few more songs today.

If even while traveling you can post such a beautiful song, then I wish that your journeys should continue. Just joking.
This is one of my favorite Lata Mangeshkar songs. Khaiyyam sahab’s magic can be seen.

Most of the legwork for these posts are done beforehand. During journeys I have to make sure that I am able to post them when there is internet connectivity.
