Kamsune/Unsune songs of Asha Bhosle – 113
Today I present a rare duet sung by Asha Bhosle and Mohd. Rafi Saab. The song “Main Hoon Haseen Tum Ne Kaha” is from “Harfan Maula” (1976). It was written by Majrooh Sultanpuri and composed by Shamji Ghanshamji.
‘Harfan Maulaa-1976’ was produced and directed by S.M.Saagar for ‘Adhikar International, Bombay’. It had Ashok Kumar, Kabir Bedi, Asha Sachdev, Satish Kaul, Anwar Hussain, Kundan, Yashraj, Aroop Kumar, Shetty, Ramlal, Master Ripple, Danny Junior, Mumtaz Begam, Mughni Abbasi and Rukhsana. Zaheera, Aruna Irani, Helen, Shakila Banu Bhopali, N.A.Ansari, K.N.Singh, Chandrashekhar, Satyen Kappu, Bindu and Mehmood made special appearances in this movie.
This movie had a total of six songs, of which one is posted on this blog. Here’s the second one.
Story:
Sheela, the daughter of wealthy businessman Ghanshyamdas, falls in love with Mahesh, a charming young engineer. Mahesh presents himself as a man of means and good character, winning both Sheela’s heart and her father’s approval for their marriage.
Just when the couple’s future appears secure, a shocking development turns everything upside down. The police inform Sheela and her father that Mahesh has been arrested after being found with a briefcase containing forty lakh rupees, a huge sum of money. Before Sheela can arrange his release on bail, Mahesh escapes from police custody.
Confused and determined to prove his innocence, Sheela begins investigating the mystery herself. As she digs deeper, she discovers that Mahesh has become entangled in a dangerous criminal conspiracy involving stolen money, impostors, and several individuals hiding their true identities. The case leads her into a web of deception, smuggling, and underworld intrigue where appearances are often misleading.
The story unfolds as a mixture of romance, suspense, action, and comedy, with Mahesh trying to clear his name while evading both criminals and the police. Several twists reveal that many of the key players are not who they initially seem to be, leading to confrontations, revelations, and a final showdown in which the truth about the missing money and the criminal gang is exposed.
The film concludes with the villains being brought to justice, Mahesh’s innocence being established, and the lovers finally able to look forward to a future together.
The film is remembered for its entertaining blend of crime thriller elements, comic relief from Mehmood, and the multiple disguises played by Ashok Kumar.
This song is a club song performed by Bindu and Mehmood.
