“Andolan”(1951), a “historical” movie, was produced by Harnam Motwane and directed by Phani Majumdar for Motwane Limited, Bombay. The movie had Kishore Kumar, Shivraj, Krishnakant, Sachin Shankar- Dancer, Parshuram, Tiwari Junior, Manju, Pushpa, Sushma, Shekhar,D G Bhojwani, Sharad Pandey,Naresh Malhotra,Gauri Devi,Shivji Bhai etc in it.

Today’s song is the last and final song of the film Son of Sindbad-1958.
So far, hundreds of songs have been discussed from films on Arabian Nights stories of Alladin, Alibaba and Sindbad. In these posts almost all the relevant points have been discussed. So, there is a very little new thing that can be brought out and now such posts look repetitive. But it does not mean that everything is over. Today’s song is from a Costume film (HFGK mentions it as a ‘social’ film) – Awara Shehzadi-1956.
There are a total of 14 film titles having Awara in it. Funnily, the original “Awara Shehzada”was a film of 1933. It took 23 years to bring about a female version of the Title with Awara Shehzadi in 1956 ! Incidentally, the film ‘Awara Shehzada’-33 was the First Talkie film, having a Double Role. Shahu Modak had done the roles of the Prince ( Rajkumar) and the Pauper ( Bholaram) in this film. It was directed by Master Vithal, the First Hero of First Talike of India, “Aalam Ara “-1931. Master Vithal was also the first male actor to feature in the Silent Films’ first double role in the film ” Prisoner of Love “- 1927 (aka Raj Tarang) made by Sharda Films.
