In many of my posts I have talked about Rafi saab. And that is because I just love his voice. It goes straight to my heart. Apparently, from all accounts, he was also a simple, generous human being – and this only adds to the reason why I have extremely high regard for him.

I would not go so far as to say that I have learnt to appreciate art and culture as I have grown old. I am still very much a novice when it comes to appreciating these finer aspects of life.

I love watching old movies (pre-1980, just to clarify!) and of late I’ve been watching a whole lot of them. Kala Pani, Kala Bazar, Kashmakash, Chhote Sarkar, Pagla Kahin Ka, Kasauti, Ma Beta, Waqt, Ek Bechara, Cobra Girl, Swayamvar, Raja Aur Runk, Jeene Ki Raah are just some of the movies I watched in January this year.
